A proven pathway to connect your mind, body, and swing so you can play golf with greater confidence and get the results you want!
Most golfers spend years searching for the perfect swing, believing the next lesson, training aid or technical change will finally unlock consistency. Yet the greatest players understand that lasting improvement comes from something much deeper.
How to Connect Your Inner Golf introduces a fresh approach to the game—one that helps you understand your own natural movement, develop genuine trust in your abilities, and build a process that performs under pressure.
Written by PGA Professional and high-performance coach Jamie Clutterham, this book combines decades of coaching experience with practical strategies that golfers of every level can apply immediately. You’ll discover why mistakes are an essential part of learning, how to stop fighting your swing, how to make better decisions on the course, and how to develop the confidence to play your best golf when it matters most.
This isn’t another book filled with endless swing positions or complicated theories. It’s a guide to building awareness, embracing continual improvement, and creating a game that is both more consistent and more enjoyable.
Whether you’re a beginner looking for direction, a club golfer striving for lower scores, or a competitive player searching for the next level, How to Connect Your Inner Golf will change the way you think about the game—and ultimately, the way you play it.
Stop chasing perfection. Start understanding your golf.
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this completely exceeded my expectations from the start. The process was laid out so clearly, and I never felt overwhelmed or confused at any point. Everything just worked — from the Coach Now guide to the Community interaction, it all felt professional and smooth. I saw real results faster than I imagined, and I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to move forward with confidence in the game of golf!

Jamie's Performance Loop info session and program is informative and makes you really think about your approach to the game. In the program Jamie shares great knowledge in a way that has you thinking… and motivating you to have a go at improving your game approach, technique, attitude, focus etc. I look forward to the next session.

I have had a number of lessons with Jamie now. More recently, we have been working on the on-course/playing side and approach. I have found the information very helpful. With the coaching app on the phone, I can follow the method, learn appropriate strategy along with keeping in touch with real technique. You are not overloaded with information, it’s building from basics with drills and ways to practice that are clear and give you something to work on. The on-course execution of strategy that suits my game was excellent and really helps you see how to apply things where it matters. Highly recommended.

From a single session with Jamie and some clear structure, I got great results immediately. Helped me understand my game and scoring opportunities. Spending time helping me understand the game properly and my approach. I continue today within the program, however, the original foundation tips and tricks I picked up were great and help me ongoing.

Jamie Clutterham is a PGA Professional, coach, and lifelong student of the game of golf. With decades of experience as both a high-level player and coach, he has developed a deep understanding of what enables golfers to perform at their best—not only technically, but mentally and emotionally.
Jamie began his golfing journey in Adelaide, where he represented South Australia as both a junior and senior player. His amateur career saw him selected in two Australian representative teams and competing alongside many of Australia’s future golfing stars, including Adam Scott, Aaron Baddeley, and Matt Jones. Following his amateur career, Jamie also competed professionally for a period while building his coaching career.
He completed his PGA traineeship through Surfers Paradise Golf Club and Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club, where he combined coaching with tournament golf before moving into club management. Jamie later served as Head Professional at Renmark Golf Club and North Adelaide Golf Course, gaining extensive experience in coaching, retail operations, custom club fitting, and golf technology.
For eight years, Jamie was a Golf South Australia High Performance and State Coach, working with many of the state’s leading junior and senior golfers. One of the highlights of his coaching career was contributing to the Australian team that won the prestigious Juan Carlos Tailhade Cup in Argentina in 2012. Throughout his career, he has coached golfers of every age and ability—from complete beginners to elite amateurs and aspiring professionals.
Over thousands of coaching hours, Jamie recognised that many golfers were searching for the “perfect swing” while overlooking the most important element of long-term improvement: understanding and trusting their own unique movement patterns. This insight became the foundation of The Performance Loop System—a coaching framework that integrates technique, decision-making, self-awareness, confidence, and performance into a practical, repeatable process.
Jamie’s passion is helping golfers develop a deeper understanding of their own game and discover that lasting improvement comes not from chasing perfection, but from building trust, awareness, and consistency.
Today, Jamie continues to coach through JC Golf, delivering individual coaching, player development programs, club fitting, and online education while remaining committed to helping golfers enjoy the game and perform to their true potential.
I started golf seriously around 15 years old, but coming from a rural area I didn’t have much access to top coaching or high-level competition—so I was passionate about the game and had the drive and commitment to improve.
When I found Jamie’s coaching and he introduced me to the Performance Loop approach, everything clicked: I’ve focused on the technical, tactical, and mental side of my game, and I’ve followed Jamie’s system—especially Posture, my Golf Shot Routine, and the Through the Bag Drill—to build a process I genuinely trust on the course. That’s helped me create a game plan I trust and repeat, and it’s kept me improving instead of just practicing blindly.
On my journey I was accepted into the United States at Winona State University—and inside my first year I broke into the team. Recently I won the NSIC championships (my local college region championship) in 2026, and Jamie and I still talk weekly to keep my learning cycle on track. What I appreciate most is the consistent support and structure—Jamie doesn’t just give tips, he helps me stay organised, run the right loop so my game and results keep building.
When Lynn came to me, she was close to giving up golf.
Although she could perform well on the practice range, a nervous pattern would return under competition pressure, causing doubt and disrupting her confidence.
The issue wasn’t her technique—it was her ability to trust it when it mattered most.
Together, we simplified her approach, built a clear Golf Shot Routine, and focused on one simple cue she could rely on under pressure. As her routine became more consistent, her confidence returned and her game stabilised.
In her very next competition round, Lynn successfully trusted the process, played with freedom, and experienced the results she had been working towards. She comfortably found the 6 shots of improvement through improved rhythm and shot selection efficiency.
Today, she enjoys her golf again because she has a simple, repeatable process she can trust when it matters most.
